Where Your Entry Fee Goes

We believe in full transparency. Every dollar anglers put in comes back out — 100% of entry fees are paid back as prize money, every single tournament.

  • 2026 Annual Membership

    $200 - CSB & BLB

  • What's Included

    • Access to all CSB division events
    • Access to all BLB division events
    • Eligibility for AOY standings in each division
    • Championship qualification in both divisions
  • 100% Payout Guarantee

Every dollar collected in entry fees is returned to competing anglers as prize money. CSB doesn’t take a cut — the pot belongs to the competitors who fish it.

  • Big Bass Pot

A separate Big Bass pot is built into every tournament — $10 per boat entered goes directly into the Big Bass award, paid out to the angler who lands the heaviest single fish of the day.

Bonus Opportunity

Sticker Contingency

A simple $50 investment that could pay back double — on any tournament day, all season long.

How It Works

Purchase an official Cal Sag Bass sticker for $50 and place it on your towing vehicle. If you finish as the first angler out of the money in any 2026 CSB tournament and your sticker is visible on your vehicle, you’ll receive $100 cash — right there on the spot.

💡 The sticker contingency is valid for all 2026 CSB tournaments across both the CSB and BLB divisions. One sticker covers your entire season.

If the first angler out of the money does not have the sticker displayed, no contingency money is awarded for that day — so make sure yours is on before you launch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about costs, payouts, and how the money works.

The 2025 membership fee is $200. One membership covers both the Cal Sag Bass (CSB) and the Big Lake Bass (BLB) divisions — so you can compete in either or both divisions with a single membership. All participants must be 18 years of age or older to fish in a tournament.

Cal Sag Bass is committed to full transparency: 100% or more of all entry fees collected are paid back to anglers in the form of prize money. This means the organization does not pocket any portion of tournament entries — every dollar goes back to the competitors.

Payouts scale based on the number of boats entered. The more anglers fish, the more places are paid out and the larger the prize pool grows:

  • 12–17 boats: 1st and 2nd place paid (64% / 36%)
  • 18–23 boats: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place paid (53% / 28% / 19%)
  • 24–29 boats: Top 4 paid (47% / 25% / 19% / 9%)
  • 30–35 boats: Top 5 paid (44% / 24% / 16% / 12% / 4%)
  • 36–40 boats: Top 6 paid (41% / 23% / 15% / 11% / 7% / 3%)
  • 41+ boats: Top 7 paid

A separate Big Bass pot (equal to $10 per boat) is also awarded each tournament.

The Sticker Contingency is a bonus prize opportunity available to any angler. Purchase a Cal Sag Bass sticker for $50 and place it on your towing vehicle. Here’s how it works:

  • If you are the first angler out of the money at any 2026 CSB tournament and your vehicle has the sticker, you’ll receive $100.
  • The sticker is valid for both divisions and all 2026 CSB tournaments.
  • If the first person out of the money does not have the sticker, no contingency money is awarded that day.

It’s a great low-cost way to potentially double your sticker investment on any given tournament day.

Yes! $1,000 is awarded to the AOY winner in each division. AOY is determined by an angler’s best 5 events fished, with no tournaments dropped from the calculation. Points are awarded as follows:

  • Tournament winner receives 60 points
  • 2nd place receives 58 points, with each lower place receiving one fewer point
  • Anglers who fish but don’t weigh in receive 15 points
  • Disqualifications result in 0 points

As an added bonus, the Top 5 AOY finishers in each division only pay half the entry fee for the Championship tournament. AOY winners also receive a trophy.

To fish the Cal Sag Belt Championship or Big Lake Belt Championship, you must fish a minimum of one regular season event in that division. Entry fees are on a sliding scale — the more events you fish, the lower your Championship entry fee:

  • 5 events fished: $240 entry
  • 4 events fished: $360 entry
  • 3 events fished: $480 entry
  • 2 events fished: $600 entry
  • 1 event fished: $720 entry

Top 5 AOY anglers pay half of their applicable entry fee. The Championship winner receives the coveted Championship Belt, and the biggest bass of the tournament earns a plaque.
